George Mastoras, Assistant to the President

George Mastoras is the Assistant to the President, Jennifer Davis, at Massachusetts 2020. George supports the President and other staff members across all aspects of managing and implementing Massachusetts 2020's initiatives. George also serves as the Massachusetts 2020’s webmaster and handles many of the organization's special projects.
Prior to joining Massachusetts 2020, George was the National Political Coordinator at Progressive Majority, a national political organization. Progressive Majority recruits progressive leaders to run for office; coaching and supporting their candidacies by providing strategic message, campaign, and technical support; prioritizing the recruitment and election of candidates of color; and bringing new people into the political process at all levels. During his tenure at Progressive Majority, George also worked in the development department as well as the President’s office. Additionally, he worked at the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman John Lewis researching and responding to constituent concerns about current events and legislation.
George graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in Politic Science and History, and holds an M.A. in Political Management from The George Washington University’s School of Political Management with a concentration in campaign management and issues management. A native of New York, he currently lives in Malden with his wife.
