Blair Brown is the Director of Communications & External Affairs. She leads the organization’s communications strategy and works with national and state media as the movement for expanded learning time grows. In addition, she is building relationships with key national organizations to support national efforts around time and learning.

Prior to her role at NCTL, Blair served as the Associate Director of Public Policy for Massachusetts 2020, an affiliate of the National Center on Time & Learning. In that position, she helped grow state support for the Massachusetts ELT Initiative from $6.5 million to $17.5 million in three years. Her background also includes working in the Massachusetts Legislature and in political campaigns.

Blair earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and her B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College in Norton, MA.
