We Want To Hear Your Story

What have you been able to do with an Expanded School Day that you couldn’t do before? How has Expanded Learning Time changed the way you teach, the way you collaborate with colleagues, what your students learn, or how your school operates?

Massachusetts 2020 is looking for a few great examples of work teachers are doing in ELT schools that was not possible with a short school day. If you have an example that you think should be profiled and documented, submit it to us and it could be published on the Mass 2020 website and through our email newsletters. Whether it is your work, the work of a colleague, or the work of a group of students, submit your “ELT Story” to see if it can get published online. If your ELT Story is chosen you’ll get $100. Be sure to submit your ELT Story by June 30th.

And the best news is that you don’t have to write a long case study or profile. Just submit your idea via our quick online entry form, and we’ll take it from there.

FAQs – Submitting your ELT Story

What kind of “ELT Story” are you looking for?

We’re looking for examples of student work, curriculum, or teacher collaboration that others could learn from and would find interesting.

Do I have to get my ELT Story ready for publication before I submit it?
No. Just use our quick online entry form. The form asks a few short questions that will allow you to summarize your ELT Story and tell us why you think it’s important. Then we will work with you to complete your ELT Story and get it ready for publication.

Are you looking for ELT Stories in specific curriculum areas?
One of the best aspects of ELT is that it allows schools to offer a more diverse and well-rounded education to students. So no, we’re not looking for ELT Stories in a specific area. Whether its core academics, enrichment programs, apprenticeships, the arts, health and wellness, or how teachers analyze data and look at student work, we’re interested in learning about your ELT Story. You decide if you think others should hear about your work and then submit your idea.

When will I be notified if my ELT Story has been selected for online publication?
We will notify all those who have been selected by July 7th. Then we will work with you to complete your ELT Story and get it ready for publication.
