The Boston Globe highlighted the importance of increased learning time as a critical component for school reform efforts.

The Globe stated the longer school day as a critical ingredient in boosting student performance. In Massachusetts, schools that have been able to start from scratch, whether as a charter or a pilot or a turnaround school, have opted for a longer day.
